Not far from where I work, and a place I pass by often is Anna's Italian Pizza. I had been meaning to try it forever, but it still a year and a half until my wife and I finally did. Walking into Anna's is like walking back in time 20 years or more, and not in a completely bad way. Their website (https://www.annasitalianva.com/) says they have been in business since 1970 and in this location since 1992. I arrived in town on Friday afternoon so I could go to Cedar Point with my sister and nephew on Saturday. They did not get in until later, so I was on my own for dinner. So what do I do? Search for a local high-rated pizza joint, of course. Brick Oven Bistro was only a few blocks away from my hotel based on ratings was the obvious choice. Not long after moving across town, we decided to try a local pizza shop really close to the new house. I think we were lured by a coupon that showed up at our house, but w wanted to try the local pizza anyway, so we would have given it a shot no matter what. Everything about the coupons, the website, the physical location itself was pretty standard, generic, basic pizza place type stuff. It seemed a little out of time, actually. My wife has started trying out the keto lifestyle recently, so by request we went to a keto kitchen type place near her work for lunch for her "not on her birthday birthday lunch." This is obviously a place I would never choose to go on my, not being on keto myself, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. We're always on the lookout for pizza places that do something or offer something that we haven't had or seen before. Not long after moving to San Antonio someone mentioned something about Big Lou's Pizza and how they these hugemungous ridiculous pizzas.
